Pre-requisites
- You must have the passed the relevant CITB Health and Safety Test within 2 years of the CPCS test.
Primary Objectives -
To provide theory and practical training in operating a Ride on Roller to enable the candidate to competently and safely operate the machine. Course will include:
- Correct Machine Operation
- How to set the roller for travel
- Understanding and awareness of site risks and hazards
- Know how to carry out all pre-use and shut down checks
- Correct set up for compacting
- Acknowledge compacted and uncompact areas
- Recognising conditions that can cause instability for the roller
- Knowing correct safety procedures when working close and up to unsupported edges
- Correct procedure for loading and unloading on and off a transporter
