HGV CPC Periodic Training Courses
New drivers who have completed the initial CPC qualification are presented with a CPC card demonstrating they have met their legal requirements. This card is now valid for five years.
All drivers, new and existing, now have to undertake 35 hours of training every five years to ensure that their Driver CPC remains valid. This is known as Periodic Training.
Periodic Training is designed to confirm, and expand on, the existing knowledge and skills of each driver to ensure that they continue to be safe, courteous and fuel-efficient drivers.
This will also enable drivers to keep up-to-date with ever changing regulations and to benefit from training throughout their whole career.
Safety is a priority on our roads, and making sure all professional drivers are equipped with the appropriate certification is key to ensuring high standards on the nation’s highways.
QOTA provides access to the periodic refresher training required to be carried out every five years in order to maintain a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) - a required qualification for all professional lorry (HGV), bus and coach drivers (LGV) in the UK and across Europe.
A selection of courses, each lasting seven hours, covers everything from fuel efficiency to emergency first aid. Combined, they provide a complete training refresh package designed to give candidates all the knowledge they need to continue to be a safe and considerate road user
