The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS)

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) provides skills cards for the plant sector of the construction and allied industries. It is a scheme developed by industry for the industry.

QOTA offers a variety of course options, the duration of which will depend on your ability and experience. Please contact us to discuss the best options available to you.

You must have the passed the relevant Health and Safety Test before taking any CPCS test.

The CPCS technical test is made up of theory and practical tests.

Theory Test covers health and safety, maintenance and operation knowledge about the machine. You will have to pass the theory test before you can move on to the practical test.

Practical Test involves maintenance checks and normal site operations for the chosen machine. When you have completed both the theory and practical tests you will get the CPCS (Red) Trained Operator Card.
